Tom, John Bennett and James Hedley will head for the next GB3 Championship rounds at Donington Park later this month (28-29 May) placed fourth, fifth and 10th with Elite now third in the Team’s rankings after the opening six races.
Lebbon, who celebrates his 17th birthday later this month (16 May), bagged himself an early present by securing front row starts for both races at Silverstone – his best-ever GB3 qualifying positions. Having claimed third-place in Race 1, a bold opening lap move saw Tom secure his and Elite’s maiden GB3 victory in Race 2. In the reverse grid encounter, Tom graduated six-places from his start position to net 13th.
Bennett recorded sixth place in Race 1 then ninth in Race 2, despite being pushed wide on the opening lap costing him four places – John the only driver in the GB3 field to finish every race inside the top-10 this season – before finishing 11th in the last race.
Hedley enjoyed his best GB3 weekend of his career to date. James recorded season best start positions of the season with P5 & P6, placing fifth in Race 1 – his best race result of the season – seventh in Race 2, and completed the weekend with 18th in the final race despite car damage sustained on the first lap.
